DATA USE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Massoeventos undertakes to process personal data in accordance with, and as applicable under, the legislation currently in force in Chile.The information requested in the registration or enrollment forms for an event organized by the company is mandatory for the purposes of identifying participants and managing and/or verifying registration payment processes, refunds, certification, or attendance and completion records.The data provided by each participant will be used to generate statistics for each event, depending on the digital platforms used. Some of this information may be mandatory in order to be displayed on participant profiles within the Social Networking areas available on such platforms. Participants may also choose, at their own discretion, to display additional information on their public profile.Participants authorize the organizers to share the information provided when completing the registration form with Sponsoring and Supporting Organizations. This information may include, at a minimum: name, profession, specialty, and email address, for the purpose of potentially contacting participants for professional, commercial, and/or academic purposes.
1. General Provisions
REFUND, CERTIFICATION AND PAYMENT POLICY
This policy applies to individuals participating in activities organized by Massoeventos for various institutions or organizations, including Congresses, Courses, Seminars, Conventions, Workshops, and Training Sessions (hereinafter referred to as “events”).Registration for events organized by Massoeventos only guarantees the reservation of a place until payment of the applicable registration fee for the category selected by the participant has been completed.For all events, Massoeventos reserves the right to accept or reject registrations. Any such decision will be communicated in due course to the email address provided by the affected participant.Each event will take place on the dates and at the locations indicated in the relevant event information. Changes to schedules, speakers, and dates may occur and will be communicated in due course to the email address provided by each participant at the time of registration.
2. Payments
Registration fees may be paid through the mechanisms or platforms specified for each event, generally including the WebPay platform for credit and debit card payments, current-account deposits, and domestic or international bank transfers.Any additional payment method made available will be communicated as part of the information for each event and will consequently form part of these terms and conditions.In the case of international bank transfers, the total amount payable must also include any fees or commissions charged by the relevant banking institution in the country of origin.Any payment for which proof of payment is required must be sent to pagos@massoeventos.cl, with a copy to claudio@massoeventos.cl, clearly indicating the name of the event and the participant.
3. Refunds
If a participant decides to cancel a paid registration for any reason, they may request a refund subject to the following conditions:All refunds will be subject to a 10% deduction from the amount paid, corresponding to registration administration costs.
- Refund requests submitted 30 or more calendar days before the event start date will receive a refund of 100% of the registration fee, less the 10% administrative deduction.
- Refund requests submitted between 11 and 29 calendar days before the event start date will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fee, less the 10% administrative deduction.
- Refund requests submitted between 0 and 10 calendar days before the event start date will not be eligible for a refund.
Refund requests may only be processed if they include the bank account details of the account holder (participant). Processing will not begin until the required information has been correctly received. The applicable processing periods set forth herein will be calculated from the date on which the complete banking information is received.In the event of an emergency arising from natural disasters, social unrest, or other force majeure events that require the suspension of the event, the participant may choose either:
- a refund of 85% of the registration fee, less 2.5% for administrative and logistical costs; or
- the transfer of the registration to a new date to be determined, provided that this arrangement is formally agreed upon by the parties.
4. Certification and Attendance
Each event will have specific certification requirements, which may be subject to a minimum attendance percentage and/or the results of an evaluation, as well as the completion and/or submission of an event satisfaction survey.Attendance will be monitored on site through various mechanisms, generally electronic, which will be appropriately communicated to participants in advance.The specific requirements for each event will be published and communicated through the platforms or communication channels used for that event.Only in exceptional cases, and with authorization from the institution or organization responsible for the event, participation certificates or attendance records may be issued while the process leading to their final issuance and delivery is being completed.
